| You can search for chants beginning with or containing definite words. If Begins with is checked the search result will contain chants whose incipits begin with the words you typed in the text box. If, however, Contains is checked the search will result chants whose incipit contain the text string you typed in the text box. The search is not case-sensitive. |
| You can restrict your search to chants of a specific genre. If you leave the default selection, all genres will be searched. If you select Responsory and Verse not only the Responsories but their Verses will also be listed. |
| If you leave the textbox blank and the Genre pull-down box set to All genres you will receive an error message. On the other hand, you can list the repertory of a specific genre by selecting an item from the pull-down box without entering an incipit. |
